Drakkar Klose delivered an impressive performance at UFC Austin on December 2, securing a spectacular finish by slamming Joe Solecki for a devastating knockout victory in the opening round.

Solecki came on strong in the opening seconds, securing a takedown and briefly controlling Klose on the ground. Klose reversed the position, and Solecki flung up an armbar; it would be his biggest mistake of the fight.

Klose lifted his foe and slammed him hard on the side of his head. Solecki immediately went limp and Klose followed up with one ground strike that spasmed his opponent's body before the referee intervened.

Klose boosted his record to 14-2-1 and extended his UFC winning streak to three. The Michigan slugger is now well on his way to the UFC limelight since taking a two-year hiatus from competition after being knocked out by Beneil Dariush in 2020.

Solecki, on the other hand, saw his two-fight win streak come to an end, experiencing his first UFC loss by finish and bringing his overall record to 13-4-0.

The Austin crowd has been treated to a dynamite show, with three out of four fights on the prelims vying for the performance of the night. It wouldn't be surprising if the UFC higher-ups consider dishing out more than four bonuses tonight.
